The Grand Opening of Ukay Hills – A Modern Hillside Estate for Malaysia’s Event and Lifestyle Suites
I was at the grand opening event of Ukay Hills – Private Event Estate & Lifestyle Suites at Bukit Antarabangsa, Ampang on the 21st of December. The launch was officiated by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin, Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, who unveiled the estate in a ceremony attended by partners, industry representatives and invited guests.
Ukay Hills has positioned itself as a modern destination estate that brings together event venues, lifestyle suites and curated dining experiences within a single, cohesive environment. The integrated approach reflects a broader shift in how weddings, corporate events and lifestyle gatherings are being hosted today, with organisers increasingly seeking venues that offer privacy, architectural character and seamless guest flow across stay, dine and event spaces.

At the launch event, Chee Yong Fatt, Director of Ukay Hills said, “Ukay Hills was built with a clear intention: to give Malaysia a new kind of event estate — one that brings together inspiration for a pinterest-dream’s wedding to reality, hospitality and functionality in a way that feels contemporary and meaningful. The opening also marks the official launch of Restaurant Seafood D’ Bendang at Ukay Hills. Originated from Sekinchan, the restaurant brings its culinary heritage into the estate as part of Ukay Hills’ integrated hospitality offering, providing full-service dining, private VIP dining rooms, as well as catering and buffet services to support events hosted across the property.

Spread across its hillside grounds in Bukit Antarabangsa, Ukay Hills features a collection of 29 lifestyle suites, a dedicated VIP Private Dining Room, a full-service restaurant and three signature event spaces designed sophisticatedly blending the inspiration from trending pinterest moodboard of European architectural and nature surrounding.
Each part of the estate was developed to function independently or as part of a larger event journey, making the venue suitable for multi-day weddings, corporate retreats, brand activations and premium private functions.

The launch event included a guided preview of the estate’s venues, suites and dining spaces, showcasing how the property’s modern glass architecture pairs with its hillside surroundings to create a distinctive event setting. Guests also experienced the unveiling ceremony, estate walk-through and curated dining moments hosted by the Seafood D’ Bendang & Ukay Hills team.
