Hilton Kuala Lumpur Welcomes the Month of Ramadan with ‘Jamuan Penuh Makna, Raikan Detik Bersama’

This coming Ramadan, if you're looking for a buka puasa spot with a combination of modern and traditional flavours, you might want to check this out. I was at Hilton Kuala Lumpur to check out their Ramadan 2026 preview.

Hilton Kuala Lumpur presents “Jamuan Penuh Makna, Raikan Detik Bersama”, a Ramadan experience that brings together cherished traditions, modern flavors, and the spirit of togetherness that defines the holy month. This year’s theme honors Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage while embracing contemporary inspirations, inviting guests to celebrate gratitude, connection, and community through food.

As Ramadan brings families and friends closer, Hilton Kuala Lumpur mirrors this sentiment by crafting an atmosphere where every detail from the dishes to the décor reflects warmth, reflection, and shared appreciation.

Now in its third year, the sustainable Ramadan initiative at Hilton Kuala Lumpur continues to make strides in reducing food waste with the introduction of its latest innovation: Keropok Citarasa Laut. This crispy golden cracker is crafted from repurposed seafood shells, thoughtfully cleaned, roasted, dehydrated, and ground into a flavorful powder before being blended with tapioca flour, coriander, oyster sauce, and white pepper. The dough is then steamed, sliced, and lightly fried to achieve its delicate crunch.

More than a festive snack, Keropok Citarasa Laut underscores the hotel’s ongoing commitment to sustainability through small-batch production, expanded live stations, locally sourced ingredients, and responsible waste diversion, demonstrating that meaningful innovation can be both delicious and distinctly Malaysian.

With over 180 dishes, Vasco’s sets the stage for a lively, flavor-forward celebration throughout February and March. The feast begins with classics including Golden Snapper Otak-Otak with Passion Fruit Salad, Homemade Urap Daging Pekasam, and a refreshing Young Mango Salad with Dried Scallops.

Presenting a premium array of responsibly sourced, ASC-, BAP-, and MSC-certified selections, seafood takes the spotlight from the Oceanic Bounty on Ice and Pan-Seared Sea Bass to tangy Flower Crab Masak Lemak Nenas, all curated to balance freshness, quality, and a thoughtful approach to sustainability.

Live stations add culinary theatre to your dining experience with Golden Snapper Fish Head Curry, Lebanese Shawarma, Grilled Scallops with Ginger Garlic Chili, Australian Wagyu Bolognese, Murtabak Angus, Lamb Gear Box, and the luxurious Royale Caesar Reef Lobster Caesar Salad.

At the carving stations, indulgence unfolds with HALAL-certified Australian Whole Lamb with Moroccan Chermoula, tender 6-hour Slow-Roasted Venison Timorensis, and the crowd favorite Lambassador Smoked Paprika Beef Shank. A vibrant Farm-to-Table showcase features heirloom vegetables from Cameron Highlands, gourmet mushrooms, and organic beetroot, elevated with a smoked cheese dressing.

Desserts bring the celebration to a sweet close with Assorted Baklava and beloved durian delights like éclairs, crêpes, and Serawa Pulut Durian Musang King, finally crowned by the iconic Durian Tempura returning as the much-awaited finale.
