More than 2,800 Participants from 9 Countries at International Marathon & Wellness Carnival 2026 in Stadium Bukit Jalil
Last Sunday, I took part in the 10km run for the International Marathon & Wellness Carnival 2026. The run which is also known as the International Positive Energy Half Marathon & Sports Wellness Carnival 2026 took place at Stadium Bukit Jalil has concluded successfully with the participation of more than 2,800 runners, wellness enthusiasts, and visitors from 9 countries.
Running with my running buddies are twice the fun!
The three-day event further strengthened Malaysia’s reputation as a regional hub for wellness tourism, active lifestyles, international sporting events, and community-driven initiatives.
Preparation the night before the event, I always make sure that I have all my running gears ready, bib is pinned on the shirt, clean socks and 'not too dirty' shoe, earphone charged and now with the addition of Salonpas Jet Spray and Salonpas Patches.
More than just a marathon, the event carried a broader mission to promote positive energy values, holistic well-being, moral upliftment, healthy living, and social unity. It brought together private sector stakeholders, industry leaders, government agencies, local communities, and international participants on a unified platform to inspire meaningful engagement and collaboration. The programme featured the 21KM Half Marathon, 10KM Run, and 5KM Fun Run categories, alongside wellness activities, community engagement programmes, entertainment segments, and an F&B Bazaar designed to support tourism growth, stimulate the local economy, and create business opportunities for entrepreneurs and vendors.
I arrived at the venue before 6AM and some of the half marathon participants have already finished their run. So fast!
The event was co-organised by several organisations, including Nestle, Celebrities Fitness, JCI, World Top Gourmet, with strong support from various strategic partners.
In addition to promoting sports and wellness, the initiative also included a charitable and social responsibility component, featuring fundraising efforts in support of the Malaysia Scout Club and the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), reinforcing the organisers’ commitment to community development and meaningful social impact.
The official 10KM and 5KM flag-off ceremony was officiated by distinguished guests and community leaders, including En. Sabran bin Ab Bahar, Director of the Youth and Sports Department of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, alongside several other invited guests and representatives, including Ms. Chong Wan Pick, Trade Marketing Manager of Mewah Dairies Sdn Bhd. The organisers extended their sincere appreciation to all sponsors, supporting partners, vendors, ministries, departments, agencies, media representatives, volunteers, and strategic collaborators for their invaluable contributions to the success of the event.
After 56 minutes and 42 seconds, I have finally reached the finishing line!
Got my medal and time to get some relief from Salonpas Jet Spray
Special thanks were also extended to supporting brands and partners including Salonpas (official wellness partner), O’Briens Irish Sandwich CafĂ© Malaysia, Mewah Dairies Sdn Bhd, RichestLife, as well as all relevant ministries and agencies related to youth and sports development in Malaysia.
I got assistance from Salonpas personel to spray the Salonpas Jet Spray on both of my aching legs. So much better after that!
Here's the 10km event medal. I like the simplicity of this but still feels solid and premium.
The successful execution of the International Marathon & Wellness Carnival 2026 reflects Malaysia’s strong potential as a leading global destination for wellness tourism, international sporting events, and community engagement initiatives. Through this platform, the organisers aimed to energise the body, inspire the mind, and uplift the spirit while fostering international friendship, positive social values, healthy living, and long-term community impact across Malaysia and beyond.
Overall, I had really good time running at the event and despite the numerous hills to climb, the weather was good and I love the energy from the organizer, host and all the participants. Until then, I will be looking forward for my next run.
.: Peace Out :.
