Grand Opening of Le Pont Boulangerie et Café at Sri Petaling

Recently, Le Pont Boulangerie et Café has opened their second outlet at Sri Petaling. Their first outlet was opened at Old Klang Road last year and you can read about it here. Le Pont Boulangerie et Café offers a wholesome café cuisine, traditionally artisanal yet innovative breads and pastries, custom-roasted house blend coffee and specially-crafted drinks, the café embodies a hidden gem which continues to draw in patrons from near and far alike.

The inspiration behind the name Le Pont (French for ‘The Bridge’) comes from the desire to capture the vision of a unique space where people can come together and forge new friendships and the aspiration to create a food & beverage concept where food and drink connect seamlessly.

This vision materialised in the modern French cuisine café menu, European inspired creations that grace the bread and pastry shelves and carefully-crafted coffee experiences. The result is a comfortable meeting point for work and play, family and individual, food and drink.

Synonymous with the Le Pont dining experience is a keen emphasis on design and ambience. Fittingly, the new outlet embodies an impressive boutique café specially designed by renowned Japanese architect, Takuji Kamio.

The award-winning architect breathes life into the idea of connecting people and spaces that brings together the ground floor bakery as well as first floor dining area and coffee bar seamlessly. A harmonious interplay of concrete, metal and wood finishes set a tone of cosy minimalism that allows patrons to fully immerse in their conversations and gastronomic adventures. A key feature to the Sri Petaling store design is the Le Pont Bridge which is the quintessence of the brand.

Mr A K Tan arriving at the opening ceremony with style
“Le Pont bridges the seemingly impossible, bringing together in a unique manner food, design and space. Artisanal craftsmanship meets contemporary cafe culture, giving rise to a space where relationships, connections and communication can blossom. This is infused into every aspect of Le Pont from the warm and intimate yet industrial modern design of the cafe to the gastronomic experiences afforded to patrons,” said Mr A K Tan, Executive Chairman of BUTBO Group.

“Hence, we are delighted to share the vision of Le Pont with a new crowd of café goers and food lovers in the Sri Petaling neighbourhood. Patrons can expect the same elements that they love in our Old Klang Road outlet, from the elegant contemporary architecture to wholesome cuisine, pastries and coffee. However, they will also be part of an exciting new experience, with an inspiring new interior design concept and new menu specialties.”

I like the dining table which was filled with various kind of pasta and also comes with compartment for the cutleries, sauces and napkin. After the live presentation and demonstration, a scrumptious lunch was served. Just look at the variety of food below.

The gastronomic experience of Le Pont is centred around the core pillars of pastries & desserts, breads, the café and speciality coffee. Each offers a standalone modern contemporary cuisine experience which can also be experienced in unison. To end the post, congratulations to Le Pont Boulangerie et Café for the grand opening and looking forward for more to come.
