On the 12th of May 2022, I was invited to attend the media preview of WOK HEY in Sunway Pyramid. WOK HEY is Singapore’s fast-casual, convenient, take-out kiosk concept offering tasty, nutritional, value-for-money, customizable Asian stir-fry dishes with a modern twist, is bringing the deliciousness to Malaysia.
Inspired by the cornerstone of Cantonese-style cooking, WOK HEY was seeded on the idea to create modern interpretations of the traditional Asian stir-fry staples in a box. Since opening its doors in 2017, WOK HEY has held on to the belief that one day, Asian stir-fry staples can become a significant mainstream segment in the fast-casual category globally. With over 34 outlets in Singapore, WOK HEY has finaly made its international debut in Malaysia and their first outlet is located in Sunway Pyramid.

The open kitchen allows everyone to know what goes into each dish, while witnessing the high hygiene standards of the meals, prepared with eco-friendly custom-made kitchen equipment. Additionally, dishes are packed in specially designed boxes to fit on-the-go consumption while maintaining the freshness. On that note, Malaysians can get their hands on award-winning WOK HEY meals by the highly skilled and consistent chefs, including fully customizable options of Egg Fried Rice, Shanghai Fried Rice, as well as Fresh Ramen and Udon combinations.

DeletePretty obvious that they would have to up their prices to make it worth opening an outlet here, to earn our miserable ringgit!
ReplyDeleteHahaha... I think the price listed here is way lower than the ones that they are selling in Singapore. For mall pricing, I guess it's alright for something to grab and go.
