Chainsmokers and Local Artists NYK and Yunohoo Live in Heineken® Refresh Event on 9 December!

If you're into electronic dance music (EDM), I am pretty sure that you are familiar with the song Closer by The Chainsmokers which is right now at 2.8 billion views on Youtube! Well, guess what? They will be performing in Malaysia and all thanks to HEINEKEN Malaysia! Woohoo~~~


This year-end, HEINEKEN® will be bringing music fans closer to a unique cross-genre experience with The Chainsmokers and local artists NYK and Yunohoo through the 'Refresh Your Music, Refresh Your Nights'. So if you want to be a part of something just like this – the Heineken® Refresh Event is where you want to be on 9th December!

'Refresh Your Music, Refresh Your Nights' was introduced to allow fans of different music preferences to expand their music tastes and open up to new experiences, all with Heineken®. In collaboration with The Chainsmokers, NYK and Yunohoo will refresh the electropop duo's biggest hits in their own style. The refreshed tracks will be performed by the local artists alongside The Chainsmokers at the global event on 9th December at Resorts World Genting in Malaysia.

Representing Malaysia is Yunohoo, a trilingual rapper with deep roots in hip-hop. She will perform alongside singer-songwriter NYK, whose experimental approach and diverse taste in music has created the unique and versatile sound that he is known for today.

Our local artists will be performing their own take on The Chainsmokers' tracks – but we also want to know what you have to say! Music fans can vote for which tracks by the Chainsmokers they want NYK and Yunohoo to cover in their own unique styles respectively via the website here.


The songs with the most number of votes will then be selected for each artist to refresh and perform alongside The Chainsmokers at the Heineken® Refresh Event with special appearances by local DJs BATE, Blink and Julian. Fans who vote also stand to win VIP passes to the event (contest mechanics and terms and conditions apply).
