Carlsberg Gives Malaysians Probably the Best UEFA EURO 2016™ Football Experience

Carlsberg decided to take the title of being a great football mate to new heights by giving the winners of its recent Play on Pitch competition the trip of a lifetime to experience football like never before. 10 lucky Malaysians were treated like football stars at Stade de Lyon, France, the official venue of the UEFA EURO 2016™ Semi-final.

When you’re an international football star, you get VVIP treatment – and Carlsberg gave the Play on Pitch winners just that. The VVIP access to the exclusive UEFA Club Lounge where guests were served ice cold Carlsberg and gourmet meals was only the beginning in their day in the life of a football star. The winners also got to spend the entire afternoon taking on former footballers in numerous stations set up on the pitch and meet former Danish legendary goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel, and the F2 Freestylers, YouTube’s football freestyler sensations.

MBO Cinemas Blood Donation Drive 3.0

MBO Cinemas is continuing its third annual partnership with St John Ambulance of Malaysia to host a blood donation drive to contribute to the National Blood Centre (PDN). Organisers are expecting to reach the target of 5,000 pints of blood at this event, fondly known as Blood Donation Drive 3.0. Taking place at 25 locations of MBO Cinemas nationwide from 12pm to 6pm on 5-6 August in Kedah and Johore plus 6-7 August for the rest of Malaysia, trained personnel from St John Ambulance of Malaysia will be on hand to assist the staff from PDN.


With the recent Hari Raya fasting month and holiday season, it is timely for the blood donation drive to continue to build up the availability of blood. Apart from saving lives, blood donors will have additional reasons to participate as they will receive a goodie bag which consist of a free cinema ticket, MBO Cinemas movie merchandises, food, drinks and pharmaceutical gifts from our generous partners.

Perodua Bezza Test Drive (Review)

The Malaysia car market is once again getting more exciting thanks to the newly launched Bezza by The Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sendirian Berhad (Perodua). This is just like the time when Perodua launched the B-segment Myvi back in 2005 and it has been a big hit ever since. At almost 10 years later, Perodua's A-segment Axia replaced Myvi as the highest selling car in Malaysia.


So here comes the Perodua's first EEV sedan which sits on the Axia’s platform – Bezza. It's a compact sedan that competes directly with the Proton Saga. Come to think about it, someone could fork out another 20-30k for a larger Japanese sedan such as the Toyota Vios, Honday City or Nissan Almera. So the question here is; will Malaysian want to go for the Perodua Bezza especially the top of the variant at almost RM51k? Let's find out.

The campaign draws upon Arsenal being first registered with the word “THE” within the name, a unique detail in football history. The film to launch it features players including Santi Cazorla and Hector Bellerin; legends such as Thierry Henry, Robert Pires and Freddie Ljungberg; and fans from London, Mumbai, Shanghai and New York – all offering their interpretation of what ‘We are THE Arsenal’ means to them.

Donamarie, Rozella, SOAP are Malaysia’s top three undiscovered bands in Tiger Jams

Over 100,000 votes were tabulated following Tiger Jams’ three-week voting period to identify three of Malaysia’s finest emerging artistes that will be moving onto the last leg of Tiger Jams.

Home grown bands Donamarie, Rozella and Son of a Policemen (SOAP) garnered the most number of votes during the online polls held from 13 to 30 June and overcame seven other hopefuls to be one step closer to collaborating with a mystery international act.
