It was being said that self confidence is the difference between feeling unstoppable and feeling scared out of your wits. It is also defined as a full trust, where we belief in the powers, trustworthiness, or reliability of a person or thing which include our image in order to build up our confidence in ability to succeed.

I myself believe that physical image or appearance plays a big part of building our self confidence. I do not need to wear all so formal for my daily work, since I'm working in the creative line especially when I'm doing my shooting. I prefer to dress as comfortable and trendy as I can but not to the extend of wearing torn jeans, slippers and an old crumpled tee to work.

Last Thursday, I went for the showcase of full-service image consulting firm, Bkay Nair Resources (BNR) which took place at Temptation Kitchen at Changkat KL. They showcased their comprehensive consulting company which aims to help customers recreate themselves by discovering their hidden personalities within. At the same time, it's good to see a few familiar faces at the event and get to know some of the new blogger friends.

ELEVATE @ Penang International Sports Arena

ELEVATE - Feel the Difference.
That was the tagline for the event which I went last Saturday all the way up north in Penang. It was my first time driving up to Penang and thanks to Kahmon ( who actually contacted me and asked me if she can join along. I was delightful to go for a road trip with someone I know and not all by myself. Anyway cut the story short, below are some of the insights from the event.

My ELEVATE VIP pass. Thanks to Don Chan for making this happen!

ELEVATE which was happening at the Penang International Sports Arena (PISA) was only for the invited guest and bloggers who are chosen to go for this event. There's live performances by the Korean DJ Siera Lee, Japanese DJ Hiloco, Mocha Girls from the Philippines and our local talented young dance group from ELECOLDXHOT who did a pretty good job entertaining the crowd through out the night.

KFC Egg Tart

It was a pretty random choice to go for a quick bite at KFC restaurant before the wedding reception which I am covering in Klang last Saturday. I still remember the good old days when KFC's slogan was "Finger lickin' good" and "KFC - That's Where I Want To Be" but now, "So Good" doesn't really sound catchy.

Fariz, my team mate showing the KFC Egg Tart box packaging.
It's been a while since I last had the KFC Egg Tart because it's only available in selected outlets and definitely it's not available in SS2 or Sea Park, Petaling Jaya. Hence, when Fariz and myself saw this at this particular outlet in Klang near The Store. We quickly decided to order this to 'ikat perut' before the shooting starts.

Kungfu Paradise @ Paradigm Mall

It's been a while since I last saw Jolyn, one of my blogger friend who went to oversea to pursue her education and has came back to Malaysia for a few days on her semester break. I suggested to do a meet up with a few other bloggers at Paradigm Mall since it's not too far away from where we are staying and it's always good to bring someone to a new mall which he or she has never been there before and so my girlfriend, Snoopy, Jolyn and myself agreed to meet up there.

The Menu
The place where we met up was at the Kungfu Paradise, 'a cafe with a kick' in Paradigm Mall. I've never tried this place before by looking at the crowd, prices and variety of food, it should be okay to try it out. Lets see how strong is the kick of this cafe.

Nostalgia P.Ramlee Ramadan Buffet at Eastin Hotel

Earlier last month, I was invited for the Nostalgia P. Ramlee in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan which will be happening on this coming 21st July 2012. The theme itself has obviously stated that they will be featuring some of the favorite food of the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee, who is he? Well, he's our nation's most beloved and honored musical legend and also an excellent actor and director. The whole programme is organized by the Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya.

Nasi Kuning ala Timur Tengah
The favorite dishes of Tan Sri P. Ramlee is prepared by a team of chef led by Executive Chef Alex Leong, from traditional local, Middle Eastern, Japanese and Western dishes. I think the whole team did pretty well with the wide range of variety. It's not often that I had so little dessert on a buffet review since I always had an empty space in my stomach just for it but not this time round. A few of the food variety offered as below:

Tong Pak Fu @ Midvalley Megamall

Most of you might have heard the name Tong Pak Fu before, especially if you have studied about the Chinese history, one of the famous Ming Dynasty scholar. In this post, I will not be talking about that but instead I will introduce you to the award-winning Hong Kong dessert house namely, Tong Pak Fu. This particular dessert house reached the Malaysian shores since last year and are currently offering some of their best quality of hot, cold and western desserts!

Black Glutinous Rice Cream with Coconut Milk RM 5.80
The black glutinous rice cream with coconut milk is probably one of the must try in their menu. Majority of us at the reviews felt that this hot dessert tasted so good that most of us can't stop eating it but we had to stop anyway to make way for the rest of the desserts. Not too sweet and quite thick, just the way I like it so I'm recommending this to all of my readers!

Heineken Launches New Iconic Bottle

Heineken is proud to announce the launch of its new iconic bottle, featuring innovative details that provide a contemporary appearance and enhance the overall drinking experience. The launch is part of a global roll-out, streamlining Heineken’s visual identity and making the brand even more consistent and recognizable in all 176 markets worldwide. The new design stamps Heineken’s progress together with consumer’s sophisticated taste and also solidifies Heineken’s position as the market leader in the international premium beer segment.

Heineken New Iconic Bottle

The bottle features an embossed curve, inspired by the label ‘racetrack’, on the neck and back. The back of the bottle features the same curve motif, set above an embossed Heineken logo and the iconic star. The curve acts as a thumb groove and is perfectly placed to meet the drinker’s fingers which add tactility and grip as they grasp the bottle whilst keeping the beer to stay cooler. Additional bottle updates include a slimmer body accentuating the bottle’s premium feel and an elongated appearance emphasized by both vertical neck branding and a higher label position.

Results for EUFA Euro 2012 Final!

Spain 4 - Italy 0

Straight up! Spain had a big victory against Italy... I guess a lot of people wanted a competitive game but seems like Spain has the most advantage through out the whole match. What surprised me the most was to see Fernando Torres scoring the third goal at the 84th minute of the game. I guess nobody gonna make fun of him for a very long period now especially those 9gag folks.

Spain: Won the Euro 2008, World Cup 2010 and now, Euro 2012!
Spain 4 Italy 0: Silva, Alba, Torres and Mata the heroes as La Roja create history in Kiev

Spain shrugged off their boring tag to create a unique slice of history by becoming the first team to defend the European Championship crown after beating Italy 4-0 in Kiev. David Silva finished off a brilliant move to give his side a 14th-minute lead. Then Jordi Alba raced onto Xavi's exquisite return pass to slide a second past Gianluigi Buffon just before the break.

Ikuzo Ramen @ SS2 Petaling Jaya

Here's a quick fact about Ramen: It is a Japanese noodle dish that consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat or fish based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced pork, dried seaweed, green onions, corn etc. I'm sure there's a lot of ramen shop blooming in Klang Valley area alone and the ramen prices are ranged between RM15-RM30. This time round, I am going to introduce you to a place where you can get high quality and affordable ramen in the one and only place, the ramen revolution: Ikuzo Ramen.

Yakiniku Ramen RM8.50
Bear in mind, the type of ramen which is offered in Ikuzo Ramen is not those typical thick broth/soup but it's more towards a clear based but still has the very basic taste of ramen. NO MSG, no soup concentrates, no artificial flavouring. There's 3 type of paste which are the miso paste, shio paste and the shoyu paste. Also, there's 2 type of noodles, original thin and original thick noodle. Previously they had the spicy thin and spicy thick noodle but due to some of the customers feedback saying that it wasn't spicy enough for them. How good if I can ever try it before they took it out of the noodle selections. The very first ramen shown above is the Yakiniku Ramen with Shoyu Paste, which is one of my favorite. This ramen has grilled beef and cabbage kimuchi to accompany the thin ramen noodle.
